Who we are
MineMineMine ("the app", "we", "us", "our") is an idle clicker game published by Seagull Studio (Android package studio.seagull.mineminemine).
Contact: seagullgamesstudios@shelfkit.net
What data we collect
When you play MineMineMine, we collect:
- Anonymous device identifier — a random UUID generated by the app on first launch and stored locally on your device. This identifier is created by the app itself; it is not derived from your device's hardware, advertising ID, IMEI, MAC address, or any other device-level fingerprint.
- Platform string — either
"android"or"ios". - Game progress — your coin balance, diamonds, pickaxe tier and level, inventory, unlocked blocks, completed quests, and similar in-game state.
- Gameplay events — timestamped records of in-game actions (taps, block breaks, upgrades purchased, session start, session end, and similar). Event records do not contain any information about apps, files, or activity outside of MineMineMine.
If you choose to sign in with Google Play Games
Signing in is optional and uses Google Play Games Services. The Play Games sign-in is gaming-specific: Google sends us only a Play Games player identifier, plus the display name you have already chosen inside the Play Games app. No email, no Google account email, no profile picture, no contact list, no location. If you do sign in, we collect and store:
- Play Games player ID — an opaque identifier that Google assigns to your Play Games profile. It is not reversible to your email address or real name by us. We use it solely to recognise you across devices and reinstalls so your save survives.
- Play Games display name — the name you chose inside the Play Games app. We use it as a default suggestion when you pick your in-game gamer ID; we do not store it as your identity.
- Your chosen gamer ID — a handle (3–20 characters) you pick yourself, plus an auto-assigned 4-digit tag (e.g.
MineKing#1234). This is visible to other MineMineMine players who search for you or are on your friends list. - Friends list — the gamer IDs of other MineMineMine players you have added as friends, and any pending friend requests.
Account management for Play Games — including signing out — is handled through your device's Play Games settings rather than inside this app, in line with Google's Play Games guidance.
We do not collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or postal address
- Your device's advertising identifier (AAID/IDFA)
- Your precise or approximate location
- Contacts, calendar, photos, files, microphone input, or camera input
- Payment or financial information
- Browsing history or any data from other apps
Why we collect it
- To save your progress so your game state survives reinstalls and moves between devices.
- To understand gameplay patterns — which blocks players get stuck on, how long sessions last, which upgrades are popular — so we can balance and improve the game.
- To detect and fix bugs — aggregated event patterns help us identify crashes and broken flows.
Who we share it with
Nobody, with one exception: if you choose to sign in with Google Play Games, the sign-in itself is performed by Google's Play Games service on your device. Google then sends us a short-lived authorisation code; our backend exchanges it with Google to confirm your Play Games player ID. Google's own privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy) governs that sign-in step.
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. Game data (saves, events, friends list) is sent only to our own backend, hosted on Railway (railway.com) in the EU West region.
We will only disclose data if required by law (e.g. a valid court order).
How long we keep it
We keep your gameplay data indefinitely unless you request deletion. If we decide to shut down the service, we will delete all stored data within 90 days of the shutdown date.
Your rights
Because we do not collect any personal data — only a random device ID that we cannot map to your identity — we cannot tell who you are as a person. You can still:
- Request deletion — email seagullgamesstudios@shelfkit.net with the anonymous device ID shown in the app's Profile tab (or your gamer ID if you have signed in). We will delete your save, event history, friends list entries, and Play Games link within 30 days.
- Request an export — email us for a JSON copy of the data we hold against your device ID or gamer ID.
- Stop data collection at any time — uninstall the app. New event writes stop immediately. Previously-stored data remains unless you also request deletion.
If you are in the UK or EU, you have rights under UK GDPR / EU GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability). Because we hold no personal data, some of these rights don't meaningfully apply, but we will respond to any good-faith request within 30 days.
Children's privacy
MineMineMine is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the app and you would like their data deleted, contact us at seagullgamesstudios@shelfkit.net.
Security
- All traffic between the app and our backend is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).
- Your game save is tied to the anonymous device ID stored securely on your device.
- The backend stores only what is described above — no additional identifiers are added server-side.
No system is 100% secure, but we follow industry-standard practices (encryption in transit, strong secret management, principle of least privilege on the service account).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be surfaced through an in-app notice before taking effect.
